Bingo Christmas Countdown

So last Saturday I was excited to check my Google Reader and see that it was time for another Control Freaks blog tour. All of the ladies in this group are fabulous papercrafters an never fail to amaze. This month as I was strolling along I came to Connie Babbert's blog called Inkspired Treasures and what a treasure I found!! When I saw this idea I couldn't wait to case it. So, so, so cute!

As you can see I decided to change it up a bit. I used all the same paper (still from the Candy Cane DSP pack) and I chose to punch the images with the 1 inch round punch, then add a ribbon tab on the back to make it easier to pull them out. I also strung them onto twine instead of ribbon.

Then I decided to really take it a step further and use the coordinating Bingo Card background stamp and actually create bingo cards for each member of the family!! So now each morning we will pull out a circle and then mark it off on our cards just like playing bingo! Each time we get a bingo we get a little prize. Most likely a candy.

Something you may not know about me is that I used to be a bingo caller. So this project was right up my alley. I had a ton of fun making it. If you would like to make one of your own feel free to visit my Stampin' Up! store to find everything you need.

Also check out the amazing deals SU! is offering in the Online Spectacular!! Items up to 50% off!

If you have ever though of becoming a demo (either business or hobby) right now is the time to get your kit! It is also 50% off!!

Hope you are enjoying the holiday season thus far! Thanks for checking out my project! Don't forget to leave some love if you feel the love!

What I've been up to

Well I swore this time I would be a better blogger. Ha! So didn't happen but I guess you know that already. lol
I have been getting a little inky though. I even entered some cards and scrapbook pages into the Clark County Fair. I ended up with 5 blue ribbons an 1 red. Not too shabby. In fact today I got a check for $5.75 in the mail for my wins!! Yah baby! Momma needs a new adhesive refill.

This first card is made using a new stamp set from the holiday mini from SU!. There is some seriously cute stuff in that mini. My wish list is a mile long. Don't even get me started on all the stuff in the new catalog. *sigh* Gotta start playing that lotto I tell ya.

This card uses a stamp set that was in the summer mini and sadly is no longer available. I love the fairies in this set. I may or may not be watching the new Tinkerbell movies a little too much. :)

This card I actually made for a challenge but I didn't get it finished in time. I had a blast making that cupcake stand using punches though!

This is a cards that I have been commissioned to make along with a few more. It is for Autism Awareness. I love how it turned out.

So that's it for now! I hope you enjoyed your summer! It seems like it went by so stinkin' fast! That's okay with me though since fall is my very favorite season.

Thanks for checking out my cards! Don't forget to leave some love if you feel the love!

Color Throwdown Challenge #99

This week the Color Throwdown Challenge was one of my very favorite color combos. Even so, I really struggled to come up with something. I'm getting tired of doing the same old card over and over. I wanted to push myself a bit. This is what I came up with. I actually like it quite a bit. It's like vintage meets funky. :) What do you think? Did I do this awesome color combo justice?

all product Stampin' Up!

Hope you liked my card! Leave some love if you feel the love!

Operation Write Home blog tour!!

This weekend Operation Write Home is having a "Happy Birthday" themed blog tour in honor of the 4th of July. Ya know. Being that it's when we celebrate the birth of this great nation and all.

Wait. You say you have never heard of OWH?!? WELL! It is only one of the best organizations out there. They send blank cards overseas to our brave soldiers so that they have something handmade to send letters home in. Isn't that awesome?!? Ya I know!

Anyway! I have a few of cards to share with ya.

This first one is based off a sketch 2S4Y. I have been trying to do a few sketch challenges lately just to get myself back in the card making groove. I decided to make a "Any Hero" card to be sent to a deployed soldier. Yet another thing that OWH does. Seriously. They are awesome.
All product Stampin' Up!

This next card is a birthday card I made using a retired Stampin' Up Simply Scrappin' kit. I love these kits! Even though they are really meant for scrapbooking I have been able to give them a second life making cards! Woohoo for double duty eh?
All product Stampin' Up!

This next card is actually made using the SAME kit!! I know! Awesome right? I love that I can get one card that is totally girly cute (above) and one that is funky fresh out of the same kit. Gotta love SU! for that! Sometimes I really wish I was a Demo but... such is life.

Well I hope you enjoyed what I shared today! Have a great holiday! Remember to be safe and most of all remember those who are off fighting for a the freedoms we enjoy.

Leave me some love if you feel the love!
